On your first visit, we will take your full case history and also examine your painful condition/injury. Once we have established the root-cause of your painful condition or injury, we will approach this by treating the appropriate area. Your treatment is usually carried out through light clothing and is primarily a hands-on approach. Your treatment typically involves applying pressure to your muscles that have been identified as being dysfunctional in order to return your musculature to normality. The pressure applied can range from light to deeper pressure. However, patient comfort is paramount and the degree of pressure used is determined by your age and suitability. For example, the pressure used on a very old patient would be far less than that used on a sport’s person in his twenties. In addition, some light work may also be carried out on your joints if necessary. You may also be given some exercise advice to help your recovery.
The usual improvements that you will feel are:
- Reduced or eradicated pain
- Improved or restored full range of movement
- Everyday activities that you had difficulty with, or were previously unable to do are now much easier to do.
"I struggled for a long time with knee pain and had almost resigned to living with it. I also suffered from pains in my feet. Tony identified the problem and treated me accordingly. I haven’t felt this good in years and am so thankful to him for his great work. I did the Camino walk a few months ago without an ache or a pain. I can hardly believe it! Tony is professional and very committed and I would recommend him to anyone requiring treatment."
